Before August 2026, N Seng Raw had not worked with an NGO. Through FYM, she found an internship in the administration and human resources department of a national organization in Myanmar.

She joined meetings and orientation sessions, helped with staff records and administrative tasks, and learned to use workplace digital tools. She also began to see how different departments depend on one another.

Some of the learning came from unfamiliar tasks. Some came from asking staff to explain things. Looking back, she described improvements in communication, teamwork, time management and her ability to adapt.

She expects to use those skills in university and at work. One lesson was more immediate. Asking a question was part of doing the job, rather than something to avoid.

I learned very well that asking questions is an active way of learning something new.
